Quick question Arlington…
Is coffee important to you?
Let me rephrase that question. Is good coffee important to you?
I’m going to guess that if you are reading this, coffee is a big part of your life. But it’s not because I possess some rare powers to know things about you although we’ve never met.
I know that because according to a recent study, 61 percent of Americans drink at least one cup of coffee a day.
It just so happens we recently received an email asking for suggestions to good coffee shops in Arlington TX not named Starbucks. As the kids say these days, “No diss, Starbucks.” The reader just wanted to learn more about different options for java around town.
Instead of just emailing her the answer, I thought it’d be a good idea to share with everyone. Here are 3 coffee shops in Arlington not named Starbucks we recommend for a jolt of caffeine.

To the delight of many Arlingtonites, Dunkin’ Donuts opened on South Cooper in July. Some of you are probably reading this and thinking, “Torrey, Dunkin’ Donuts is a donut shop, not a coffee shop!” Although the general public still thinks of the business as a place for doughy treats, the majority of their sales are from their beverages. In contrast to competitor coffee shop Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts boasts a bright and vibrant interior which may appeal to patrons. Free wifi awaits you if you’re sipping inside the shop or whip through the drive through on your way to important happenings around town.
