Don’t you just love when summer comes to an end?
Fall begins and we all should be happy about it! Of course the weather will begin cooling down. Also, plenty of cool events start popping up around town. That includes pumpkin patches and fall festivals.
Thankfully, several fall festivals are created by Arlington organizations. These festivals are enjoyable for the entire family. Most fall festivals in Arlington are free (unless otherwise noted) and consist of good food, fun games, activities and lots more.
If you’re looking for a good time for your family, below is a list of upcoming fall festivals happening in Arlington.
An annual Arlington favorite, River Legacy’s After Dark in the Park is an event the kiddos will love. The event takes place on October 6-8 from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. Food & some activities require coupon purchase, but 20+ activities are free with price of admission. Admission closes at 8:30 p.m. No entry after 8:30 p.m. Cost is $8 per person for ages 3+. Children 2 and under are free. 703 NW Green Oaks Blvd.
Green’s Produce and Plants will host a fall festival on Saturday, October 7 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. The event will feature a bounce house with slide, paint your own pumpkins, and the return of Pookie the clown who will be making balloon animals while her assistant paints faces. Free popcorn and and hot dogs will be onsite. Pokey O’s ice cream truck will sell ice cream sandwiches. 3001 W Arkansas Ln.
Faith Christian Center will again host a fall carnival on Saturday, October 28 from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Enjoy games, great food, train rides, and more. Wristbands are available for purchase in the church or school office, and may also be purchased during the carnival. The cost is $25 per wristband. Wristbands include unlimited games, a hot dog, chips, and drink. All other food items must be purchased with tickets. Tickets will be sold during the carnival at the price of 4 for $1. 6900 US HWY 287
The Town of Pantego will host a Halloween in the Park event on Saturday, October 28 from 5:30 p.m- 8:30 p.m. The event, hosted at Bicentennial Park, will include a costume contest for kids, dog costume contest, pumpkin carving contest, crafts, food, games and more. 3206 Smith Barry Rd, Pantego
Mission Arlington will host a free fall carnival for kids on Saturday,October 28th from noon – 4 p.m. Children receive a free lunch, and a bag of candy. Activities include bounce houses, hay rides, a huge carnival with prizes, and free food. Children can come dressed in costume (no scary ones please), or they can just come as they are. 1514 Cherry Ln.
St. Andrews United Methodist Church will host a fall festival on Sunday, October 28th beginning at 5 p.m. The event will feature a trunk-or-treat, chili cookoff, cookie walk and more. 2045 SE Green Oaks Blvd.
North Davis Church of Christ will host a free fall festival on Sunday, October 29 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. The event will include live music, inflatables, food, petting zoo, games, and a Trunk-or-Treat with lots of candy! 1601 N Davis Dr.
Grace Community Church will host Glow in the Dark, a fall festival on October 31st from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The free event will include trunk-or-treat, hayrides, carnival games, pony rides, petting zoo, food truck and more. Since this is a family friendly event, attendees are strongly encouraged to wear family friendly costumes. 801 W Bardin Rd
Lamar Baptist Church will host a free family fun festival on October 31 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. The event will feature fun and food. 1000 W. Lamar Blvd.
