History: Interlochen neighborhood was originally developed in the early 1970s by real estate developer Bob Findlay. Lake Interlochen, a private 12-acre lake, is located in the community.
Housing: The Interlochen neighborhood contains 140 waterfront homes. Additionally, 126 homes throughout Interlocahen are located off the water throughout the 107-acre neighborhood. The mature neighborhood boasts its pride with its well-maintained homes and trees shading the streets.

Restaurants & Shopping: Interlochen is a stone’s throw from the intersection of Fielder Road and Randol Mill Road. Here you’ll find mind Fielder Plaza. Fielder Plaza is a neighborhood center located on the southwest corner of Fielder and Randol Mill. Fielder Plaza tenants include CVS, Starbucks, Pet Supermarket, Tom Thumb, Batteries + Bulbs and more. You’ll also find other independent shoppes, boutiques, restaurants in the on Fielder Road and Randol Mill Road. Lincoln Square, a popular shopping and dining area, is only four miles away from Interlochen.
Family & Fitness: It’s common to see residents walking or jogging throughout Interlochen. Bob Findley Linear Park is located within the neighborhood. Randol Mill Park and Randol Mill Aquatic Center are in close proximity to Interlochen.
Neighborhood Schools: Pope Elementary, Shackelford Junior High School, Lamar High (Arlington Independent School District).
Quirks: The most popular reason Interlochen is well known is due to its annual Holiday Christmas lights. Over 200 residents decorate their homes with holiday lights. The public is invited to drive through the neighborhood and marvel at the residents’ displays and creativity.
